The Samui Sense Beach Resort is a perfect options for those looking for a holiday with the beach on your doorstep and almost immediate access (under 5 minutes walk) to the best nightlife and beer bars of Lamai. Located on a beautiful stretch of sand with no shortage of sun loungers and bean bags around, good beach bar, well priced drinks and friendly staff. Gardens are lush and green, atmosphere is very relaxing by the pool. The Samui Sense is a rather small resort with 44 rooms, facilites are not new but generally well maintained, they offer a selection of the cheaper superior rooms in the main building, while the more expensive suites and bungalows are around the pool area.
I booked the most basic room, the superior category, found them to be exactly as described online, well appointed, good bed ( they can provide you with an extra top bed if you find yours too hard), strong AC unit, TV with limited selection of channels, lots of hot water in the shower, safety box and small mini-bar. Keep in mind that at 22 m², this category is not for those who plan to spend a whole lot of time in room, which is fine if you plan like me to be mostly at the beach or pool cocktail in hand in the day and in the bars at night. Important to mention they are quiet, so you won’t have to worry of being affected by the noise from the main Lamai street. Overall a nice little 3-star beachfront resort with a great central location, quiet rooms with pool and bar few steps from the beach.
