Located on Soi Easy off Bangla Road and opened since 2008, Hollywood Disco is one of the oldest and most popular freelancer hotspots in Patong. The club changed hands a few times over the years but always managed to remains one of the premium nightclubs in Phuket under the Hollywood banner. After an unsuccessful rebranding attempt as the VIP Room Patong Beach between December 2015 and November 2016 and a closure of a few months, the entertainment venue is now back to its original name and atmosphere. The concept has slightly changed and is now a bit similar to the Tai Pan Disco combining live performance acts earlier in the evening from 9pm to 11pm with talented resident Thai and occasional International DJ’s until 3am and as a final act, a Thai band performing until closure. The nightclub is divided in two large separate rooms, each playing different kinds of music. Tai Pan Disco is one the oldest, hottest and easiest pickup joints in Patong, located near the entrance of Bangla Road and the Rat-U-Thit Road intersection it’s right in the heart of Phuket’s nightlife scene. The place get packed most nights of the week and there are a few good reasons for it, Tai Pan Night Club is sort of a fusion between a pub and a club. From 09:30PM to midnight you get live bands performing all the rock & pop classics offering attractive “Happy Hour” drink prices until in-house DJ’s take over and Tai Pan shifts into a unpretentious disco with a fun vibe, live acts, sexy coyote dancers, games and giveaways during the night. Tiger disco is is part of the huge 5000 square meters Tiger Entertainment Complex, on of the most easy to recognize landmarks of Bangla road with it’s massive Tiger statues and jungle/cave theme. The whole ground floor, referred to as Soi Tiger, is a one large beer bar complex comprised of about 50 tightly packed individual girly bars and their hostesses. The second and third floor are home to one of the biggest and loudest discotheque in Patong, renowned having among of the highest ratio of freelancers (about 80% of the Thai girls). You really can’t miss them, all around and especially dark corners trying to actively make eye contact with any foreigner passing by. The famous Soi Tiger 2 girly bar complex located on Bangla road is probably the most unique of all the Soi’s in Patong. Part of the massive 5000 sqm New Tiger Entertainment Complex there is no way you could miss this outrageous three story landmark as you pass by on soi Bangla. The entire building is fitted out in a giant concrete cave decor with an impressive set of tiger sculptures overlooking the street. The ground floor is home to Patong’s biggest beer bar complex with around 55 girly bars while the two upper floors are reserved to the Tiger Discotheque. The beer bars are fun, loud and colourful with plenty of Thai bargirls dancing on the counter. Everything is so closely packed together than the thunderous music blasting and continuous lighting make you think sometimes you are just in one giant bar.
