Located smack in the middle of Bangla road, Soi Sea Dragon is one of biggest and busiest beer bar enclaves of Phuket’s nightlife scene. This spacey, colourful and fun 100 meters long horse shoe shaped alley is comprised of an unusual two-storey complex of about 50 colourful girly bars lined back to back at it’s center, each sporting it’s own particular ambiance and feel.
The whole complex got a major face lift in 2012 with the addition of a roof (similar to the one Nana Plaza got recently), which is especially welcome during the the wet season when the island is often hit by tropical downpours. There is also now a DJ in a booth on the top floor that spins tunes for the whole complex and some pretty flashy light effects adding to the already great atmosphere.

Otherwise nothing much has changed, you still have the same army of loud and funny bargirls all fighting for your attention as you pass by their bar, the usual connect 4 and Jenga games to break the ice while you get to know the hostesses before maybe taking one home for the night or a short time session at your hotel. Drinks are reasonably priced at around 90-100 baht for a bottle of local thai beer.

Soi Sea Dragon is also known for having the highest concentration of go-go bars of all Patong, although the scene is nowhere near what cities like Bangkok or Pattaya have to offer there are still plenty of options out there to last you a while. Luckily, all the most popular ones of the island are found on here, the most notorious are Suzy Wong’s A Go Go located at the very end of Soi Sea Dragon, Devil’s Playground and Harem A Go Go.

Girls working here are among the sexiest of all Bangla Road and just like with the hostesses found at the beer bars, most will accept to go home with you for a few hours up to the whole night. Do keep in mind that go go girls are usually more expensive so take your time to shop around before making any decisions.
