The Coral Bay Resort is located near the northern end of Chaweng Beach, in a more quiet area, perfect for those looking for a quiet place to relax and/or detox during the daytime. There are 55 individual free-standing bungalows spread out on 10 acres of lush tropical grounds at the Coral Bay, so If you are looking for peace there’s plenty of that here, the only noise you will here is the constant sound of birds, toads and geckos. The resort has a good size pool and a semi-private beach shared with 2 other hotels. Due to the shallow waters this is not really a swimming beach most of the time but the large pool makes up for that.
Bungalows are quite big and have a rustic charm going for them, all made of dark teak wood with a big veranda in front of the entrance and lots of furniture on it to relax and watch the day go by. Standards are generally good, some parts could do with a little renovation like the TV from the 90’s era or the wi-fi signal but otherwise they feel very cozy. The nightlife and Soi Green Mango are about 2KM away, so it’s a good 20-30 mins on foot but the baht bus passes regularly just in front of the resort where you can just hail it.
