Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort

The Basaya Beach Hotel and Resort is located in Central Pattaya right across from the beach, the settings are quite nice with lots of greeneries and a big pool. This property tends to offer good rates all year long for a reason, It’s dated, and by dated I mean 40+ years old dated, most probably the oldest, still standing resort along Pattaya beach road. Originally built in 1964, it definitely lacks sparkle and is a bit rough round the edges in some parts, especially with the standard rooms, which are in need of intense renovation. The common areas are also old but well kept, The pool and gardens are very inviting and seem well looked after, the deck furniture on the other hand could do with an overhaul. Most rooms are on the ground floor and have dated furniture, TV needs updating to flat-screen, wifi is non existent or just tolerable in the rooms and there’s only a single electrical outlet available but well, you can’t expect much for the price and prime location. Popular mostly with older Farangs, could be an option if you don’t plan to spend much time in your room. Only real issue is the cheapest categories don’t have a safe, which could be an issue to some people. Personally i wouldn’t stay here for long periods but a few days at a time is fine.
